Warwick Shire Library contacted us when their new mobile library van was still in production. The brief was for a mural which would represent Warwick people and activities, and in particular, books in that context.

The Design Group’s associate artist David Woodford came up with a series of quirky, cartoon-like characters, each involved in an activity, and simultaneously reading a book relevant to their own interests. The characters were set on a stylised background of rolling hills, waterfalls, sunflowers, and orchards — all features of the district.

The proposed design delighted the interested parties and the finished mobile library has captured enormous public interest.
