Biocontrol Ltd is a small Australian company which provides a unique product for the horticultural industry — pheromone based control systems for major insect pests.

The purpose of the web site is to (i) persuade growers still using dangerous chemicals to consider the safer alternative and (ii) to provide technical support for growers already using the Isomate products. Our goal was to make it simple, well organised and easy to understand and navigate (the users are farmers, not computer geeks).

This required coming up with an information design that fitted the way farmers would want to look for information about Isomate pheromones and their practical application. The resulting site channels users according to their particular crop/pest combination.

All the 32 Technical Notes are provided in two formats: (i) browseable html pages and (ii) publication quality pdf versions which can be downloaded and printed as a hardcopy reference.

This site uses xml based website publishing technology developed by The Design Group.
