This was a fun project which reflected the creativity and energy of the young student filmmakers whose work was being showcased in this regional student film festival.

The Festival is named after Charles and Elsa Chauvel, pioneer Australian filmmakers who lived for many years in the Darling Downs region of Queensland (Charles Chauvel having been born near Warwick).

We deliberately aimed for an “arty” feel by using unusual proportions, a strong colour scheme and contemporary design style. Still images from student video work were included. The centre spread provided a potted history of the life and work of Charles and Elsa Chauvel and included stills from their best known films.

The booklet was produced two years in a row with different content each time and has become somewhat of a collectors item.
