The Design Group aims to deliver printed materials which meet high standards of craftsmanship and accuracy, on time and within an agreed budget.

Scope of Work

We have over fifteen years’ experience producing a diverse range of quality printed materials: brochures, posters, business stationery, books, newsletters and manuals. We can oversee the full publishing life cycle from initial concept development through design and layout and supervising of final printing (Winner in First Australian Print Awards, 1983).

Accuracy

Our work is characterised by attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of the production cycle — concept design, typography, layout, colour, prepress and supervision of final printing. (For example, in an age of computerised spell checkers, we still proofread all our work.)

On-Time

When tight deadlines are required, we’re ready to burn the midnight oil to ensure quality and accuracy rather than rushing jobs out the door. Local access to scanning and prepress services enables us to turn work around quickly without having to rely on capital city services and associated delays.

Technical Expertise

The company was an early adopter of digital design tools (in 1986) and continues to utilise the latest developments in digital publishing software. (Since 1995 we’ve been using email and Adobe Acrobat (pdf) files to deliver precise digital proofs of work in progress to clients).

Quality Printing at Competitive Prices

We have excellent working relationships with a number of quality printers in the Darling Downs region who are able to deliver work which meets the same quality standards of capital city printers at very competitive prices. (We have undertaken print projects for clients as far afield as Perth.)
